  Registered Member #4 Joined: Tue Oct 02 2007, 07:26AMPosts: 38 | I finally got it!! NOS Cosmic steering wheel. Its ppeerrffeecctt! Well, except for the fact it has a Volvo steering boss. Yea, still need to figure out how adapt it to my 67 beetle. I'm thinking about finding an early Volvo steering column and just weld the splined end of it to my VW steering column... Hmmm? How can one put a "market price" on something like this. I spoke with someone who said a NOS piece is worth near $1500+. Hard to believe really. But if you want something bad enough and it comes available, then you should jump on it and enjoy it or regret it forever.... BTW, i paid WAY less than $1500. I was lucky I guess, because I would have paid lots more..... I've seen the EMPI GTV steering wheels go up and down over the years. It seems lately they have decreased in value. Though they still go for $300 - $400, there was a time they were going for $1000+..... Speedwell wheels too can get pricey, but like the Cosmic wheel, there doesn't seem to be a lot of them out there. I just picked up a NOS Speedwell wheel too. Yea you should've gave him every penny of $300 for those wheels.... I want to see more of them come out of the wood work and appear on VWs that are running Cosmics....
